Like so many at PAE, Garrett started working in the commissioning department as a teenager and spent years learning and developing foundational knowledge of Nordhavns from the inside out. He began in 2001 as part of the Commissioning Department at the company’s headquarters in Dana Point, CA, and then relocated to Florida to work at Nordhavn’s busy east coast commissioning hub. While there he managed offloads and serviced Nordhavns of all sizes. In 2004, Garrett was one of a handful of PAE employees picked to serve as support crew for the Nordhavn Atlantic Rally. He started aboard the designated lead boat in the first or “slow” fleet, a Nordhavn 62, but was later asked to jump ship to a different N62 after the owners requested additional help.

Following the culmination of the NAR, Garrett moved back to Dana Point, CA and joined the parts department, assisting with ordering, procuring and shipping parts, while continuing to round out his Nordhavn portfolio. A year later he was tapped to join the project management team, first overseeing the Nordhavn 62 and 76 builds and later adding the 59 and 68 designs to his watch. Garrett spent 14 years as a project manager traveling all over the world to see his projects through to completion.

In 2019 Garrett uprooted his young family and moved them to Florida to take over the role of East Coast Sales Manager. Since that time he has been highly involved in many Nordhavn and non-Nordhavn sales, through serving his own clients and assisting his colleagues. Despite his current title, his responsibilities extend far beyond sales and include helping to move boats, diagnosing issues, scheduling warranty work for new boat clients and service work for existing clients. Each job at PAE has been a stepping stone and the invaluable insight gained throughout his career remains a vital key to the 360-degree service he is able to provide his clients today.
