A brand new Nordhavn Motorsailer has arrived in the UK and is currently undergoing commissioning. Hull #10 is the first new Nordhavn MS to be delivered in more than a decade. Her new owners, who hail from Europe, wanted a hearty yacht that they could continue to sail in but that would also provide more comfort, protection, and ease of handling.

The first Motorsailer was launched in 2009 and Pacific Asian Enterprises (PAE) had high hopes for her success. Using their experience, knowledge and skills of cruising sailboats earned after manufacturing more than 200 Mason sailing yachts, the design team at PAE was confident in its ability to create a boat that was capable of smoothly and safely going long distances under power while performing beautifully under sail. The 56-foot Nordhavn Motorsailer is indeed a masterful combination of the two boating styles, perfectly suited for the likes of the current owners, who aren’t ready to give up a life of sailing.

The team at Nordhavn Europe oversaw her offload upon being shipped from the Ta Shing factory earlier this month. She will remain at the Nordhavn Europe commissioning center in Hamble Point, UK the remainder of the winter season and will have her mast installed this spring.
