The newest and largest addition to the Nordhavn line continues to take shape as her colossal 86-foot hull plug begins the planking process. The hull frames are cut from computer generated, full size templates and are secured to a massive “I Beam” backbone that insures absolute rigidity of this structure which will be used to make the final hull mold. Within a few weeks, work will begin on the deck plug and completion of the finished tooling and the lamination of the first hull will be early next year. To this date the first 3 hulls have been reserved. We anticipate the arrival of 8601 to Dana Point in early 2007.
