The interior of Dutchess is teak with a satin finish. All living spaces are heated or cooled with Marine Air individual unit controls and compressors (three zones) which have been recently replaced. Floors are teak & spruce soles throughout the boat.

 

The main salon is accessed from the stern of the boat through a large sliding door. The custom arrangement provides a full U-shaped settee on the port side which spans the length of the three salon windows with full storage underneath. This allows for a proper sized dining table. The starboard side of the salon features a lounge chair and built-in cabinet/end table. This allows for easy access through the salon and is a great space for entertaining. There is a flat screen TV in the salon and two 12 v fans to increase air flow. Every window, hatch and portlight is equipped with a screen and there are fittings for storm windows throughout. Air conditioner compressors upgraded on two of the three units.

 

The galley is at the forward end of the salon and offers large countertops that can be used for passing items to the salon. Custom Dutch tiles in a tulip motif were selected for highlighting the galley during construction. The galley is well laid out with ample storage.

 

Three steps lead up into the pilothouse from the companionway. The pilothouse includes the primary command stations & electronics for the vessel along with two chart tables (with three chart drawers under one) to aid in navigation. This area provides a panoramic view of the boat and her surroundings and is comfortable in all weather. Just aft of the helm station is a settee with a teak table. A pass thru from the galley is behind the port settee cushion making it easy to pass items from the galley to the wheelhouse. Above the settee is the watch berth with custom fitted sheets and lightweight quilt. There are two 12v fans in the pilothouse as well. The pilothouse also features a fiberglass lined wet locker with drain and sun screens for the PH windows.

Going forward through the walkway next to the galley you find the guest stateroom to port. The guest stateroom has an upper bunk which pulls out to a single and a lower settee which pulls out to become a double berth. Equipped with a desk and a bookshelf over a hanging locker with custom 110v outlet installed. This cabin can be used either for guest or as a ship’s office. It also provides access to the engine room through a door on the aft bulkhead. Access to the rear of the Splendide washer & dryer combo unit (approx. 2020 install) cabinet above and a single 12v fan complete the utility of this space.

 

Just across the hall is a head which functions as both a day head and a head for the guest cabin. It features a Raritan Lectrasan head, Corian countertop, and a full shower with ample storage. Finish is white FRP with floor drain for easy cleaning.

 

The owner’s stateroom is located at the end of the hallway forward and features a double sized island berth. This stateroom is custom designed for comfortable living in that the bed is positioned further forward to allow more floor area. The anchor locker is hidden behind the picture which raises on a piano hinge. The space is airy and spacious and features five opening portlights and three hatches, a settee and storage space under the bed and settee. Two hanging lockers augment the plentiful storage, one to starboard and one on centerline which is a double door closet measuring a generous 42″ wide with lights and shelves above rail, dressing table with stool, six large drawers and three small ones. A flat screen TV and two 12v fans are also found in the OSR.

 

On the starboard side in the owner’s stateroom is the doorway to the owner’s head. It features a full size shower, a Raritan Lectrasan head (white FRP) for easy cleaning, custom tile flooring, a Corian countertop, white porcelain washbasin, and the toilets are raised for easier use. The two Lectrasan units are located forward of the two holding tanks so there is no raw sewage in the respective holding tank.

 

Access to the engine room is through the guest cabin or through pull up sole panels in the main salon. Ample space is provided for tools, oil, and spares.

The lazarette houses the steering gear, auto pilot pumps as well as an emergency tiller. Ample space is also provided for storage for fenders, dock lines, and spares.  Additionally, two (2) 50-amp power cords with adapters are stored here. 

 

Directly aft of the wheel house is the boat deck which has a mast and boom for deploying the tender. New tender with stainless steel davits- currently in storage and not onboard.  Mast is equipped with radar reflector, oversized Aqua Signal navigation lights and a steadying sail.

The foredeck is kept clear for anchoring duties using the Maxwell VWC 3500 windlass along with 100 lb Bruce anchor along with 425ʹ of 3/8″ chain. To keep things clean while anchoring, the foredeck is equipped with both salt and freshwater washdown.
