Overview
″Zoe″ is a beautifully equipped Nordhavn 55. She is hull #27 and was handed over to her current owner in July 2016. She is meticulously kept by her experienced Nordhavn owner.
“Zoe was delivered to Dana Point, California. After commissioning she headed west and has extensively cruised the South Pacific, Australia, and is now currently located in Washington.
The list of factory options and after sale equipment that has been added is impressive. “Zoe” is truly a “turn key” Nordhavn 55.
Saloon:
The interior joiner work of this yacht is done in teak with a satin finish. Settees are covered in black Ultraleather.
Enter by way of the large door from the cockpit to the saloon which is offset to starboard. There is a tremendous feeling of space, and a “U” shaped settee and adjustable height dining table with ‘starburst’ inlay pattern to port. Forward of the dining area is a granite breakfast bar with two custom swivel stools. To starboard is cabinetry for storage and two upgraded reclining Ekornes chairs with their own ottomans. A 40″ flat screen TV raises and stores out of sight on the port side of the saloon behind the settee. The overhead lighting is controlled by a Cantalupi dimmer, and there is LED rope lighting behind the valances for indirect lighting. The pull down shades tuck up behind the valances for an unobstructed view. There is custom brown and black patterned carpeting with a black border, and 2″ reveal throughout the boat.
Galley:
The galley is located just forward of the saloon and is entered by stepping down two shallow steps. The first difference from the standard galley is the beautiful wood flooring. Granite covers all work surfaces, with a large back splash which is carried outside adjacent to the galley. There is a built-in spice rack on the galley port side.
All the appointed galley appliances are seen in custom home gourmet kitchens. The American style Sub-Zero fridge and pull-out freezer drawers provide ample room for an extended trip.
Sub-Zero #700 TC refrigerator with icemaker, custom teak doors with locks
Sub-Zero has two freezer drawers, one with an icemaker
GE stainless LPG cook top with custom stainless cage to secure pots and pans
GE stainless steel 240V electric oven
GE stainless Advantium 120 convection/microwave oven
GE stainless trash compactor
GE dishwasher
Lighted frosted glass on upper galley cabinets between saloon and galley
Owner’s Stateroom & Head:
The owner’s stateroom is located just forward of the galley sharing the same cabin sole level. To port is an athwartship king size bed and custom Handcraft mattress. There are ample drawers, storage and hanging lockers throughout. Under the owner’s bed is a custom built storage area. A bookcase is located on the bulkhead from the owner’s berth. Forward is access to the guest cabin which is also accessed from the pilothouse. The overhead lighting is controlled by a Cantalupi dimmer switch.
The owner’s head is incredibly spacious and is appointed with marble countertops with contrasting marble flooring. Here there is a Tecma fresh water flush electric head and step-in bathtub and shower combination with matching marble surround, and Grohe fixtures.
Pilothouse/Captain’s Cabin/Day Head:
The design and layout of the 55’s pilothouse provides generous room with a fully enclosed captain’s cabin with separate head which doubles as the day head. The black leather upholstered Stidd Captain’s chair is centrally located with excellent visibility and access to all operational and navigational systems. A chart table is located to the port side of the helm seat with storage beneath. The main AC/DC electrical panel is conveniently located to the starboard side of the helm seat. A large “L” shaped raised seating area with starburst table is located behind the helm station.
The navigational package is quite extensive (new 2018) – see the list below.
Forward Cabins:
Descend from the pilothouse to a small foyer. Entering the guest cabin, the first difference from the standard layout is that an additional guest bunk has been added to the starboard side creating two comfortable guest cabins, each having separate access to the forward guest head and shower. A sliding door provides privacy for your guests. Both berths have custom HMC mattresses. Below the guest stateroom cabin sole is access to the large storage and machinery room.
Utility Room:
Accessed from the saloon and galley area a stairway leads down to the utility and laundry room. A large top loading chest freezer, storage areas, Bosch washer and separate dryer are located in this area.
Engine Room:
Accessed from the utility room through a large door, the engine room is enormous with standing headroom. The size of the engine room allows for easy access around machinery and equipment. The main engine has been upgraded to the Lugger L1276A 340hp. Located in the aft section of the engine room is a door that leads further aft to the lazarette.
