Overview

Nordhavn Europe are delighted to present Nordhavn 57 ‘Goleen’. She is hull #29 in the model series and is CE Class A certified. Goleen has been cruising Europe since arriving from the US with the NAR (Nordhavn Atlantic Rally) in 2004.
The 57 is now viewed as one of the true ‘classics’ of trawler yacht design, being fast, efficient and comfortable.

Goleen was built to US specification for her first owners who cruised the US before being part of the NAR. She is fitted with an Atlas Power Conversion unit which has enabled her to operate seamlessly in Europe.

Goleen is very comfortable and has the three cabin configuration (see layout drawing).

She is the perfect home, ideally suited for a couple to cruise locally or worldwide whilst still being able to easily maintain and control her by themselves. She is a fine example of why Nordhavn is the leader / desired long range cruiser for so many. A wonderful design, fantastic build quality and proven longevity. She will take her new owners where ever they wish to explore.

She is currently located in Hamble Point Marina where she is undergoing servicing by the Nordhavn Europe team whilst available for viewing

*VAT unpaid – Not for sale in UK waters*

Engine controls:

  • Micro Commander MORSE control levers in pilothouse, on flybridge and at stern station for main engine
  • Wing engine controls in the pilothouse only

Fuel system:

  • The fuel system manages and controls fuel to the four engines – main, wing and two generators.
  • The main engine has a duplex Racor system, with two fuel filters that can be switched by turning a simple lever instantly. The filters can be changed in a few minutes. The John Deere has its graded fuel filter that is changed at each oil change.
  • The wing engine has one Racor fuel filter and a second on engine filter.
  • Both of the generators has one Racor fuel filter and a second on-engine fuel filter.
  • The Racor transfer fuel filter is located adjacent to the main engine filters.
  • The fuel control panel of levers is the master control of the fuel system and is used for choosing the tank to supply the four engines, to transfer fuel from one tank to another and to polish fuel.
  • There is a fuel booster pump to top up the filter after changing any filter and to force fuel to an engine. This pump will also prime all the fuel lines to clear away any air bubbles in the system.

Thrusters

Hydraulic bow and stern thrusters with variable pitch controls in pilothouse, on fly bridge and at stern station.
The ABT hydraulic system drives the thrusters powerfully off the wing engine in out of gear position normally
but can operate off the main. Goleen can be controlled with great precision and turned in her own length. The
thrusters will drive Goleen sideways off or onto a dock easily.

Stabilizers

ABT Trac stabilizers with microprocessor control upgraded in 2008 to automatic locking pins in place of a manual locking system. The stabilizers run off the main engine normally but can also run
off the wing engine as a back up system.

Hydraulic System

The ABT hydraulic system has a central reservoir tank and cooling pump that water cools the hydraulic fluid.
This well-engineered and easily maintained system is an integral part of operating Goleen.
