Production on the newest Nordhavn design, the 46II, is making swift progress with hull 1 on track to complete around Feb 1st. The model is being “batch built” and several interior sections are almost done for the first boat while construction on hull 2 is already underway. Project manager Drew Leishman has spent the week at the South Coast factory in Taiwan, where the 46 is being built, and said the boat is impressive in person. “People will be blown away when they see this boat,” Leishman said. “The renderings don’t do it justice. You can’t believe how much room there is inside.” Introductory pricing is being held for the first 10 hulls.
With a 3,000-nm range, PAE vice president Jim Leishman says buyers can take advantage of launching the boat at the factory, taking delivery in Hong Kong then go on to cruise the Australasian region, receive service at our Australia offices and either ship the boat back to the North America or cross the Pacific on its own bottom.
