This past weekend kicked off the Fall boat show season and Nordhavn provided much for boating enthusiasts to talk about.
In Rhode Island, a couple of days’ rain couldn’t deter folks from coming out to see the northeast debut of the Nordhavn 43 at the Newport International Boat Show. P.A.E.’s second smallest passagemaker was met with raves as crowds inspected her superb craftsmanship, well-thought layout and spectacular engine room. The brand new 40/II and 47 were met with equal enthusiasm. And when the docks appeared sparse during the heavy rains and wind, the Nordhavn display was packed with people, happy to have an excuse to hang out a little longer on their favorite boats.
Meanwhile, Don Kohlmann of the brand new Nordhavn Yachts Northwest sales office hosted trawler fans on a Nordhavn 43 and Nordhavn 50. The show drew big crowds – including those eager to see the 43, deemed by many to be the ideal boat for cruising the Inside Passage.

Across the pond, the 10-day Southampton Boat Show opened on September 16th to enthusiastic crowds. The beautiful fall weather and UK gas prices approaching $7.00 per gallon brought prospects flocking to the fuel sipping Nordhavn 47 that Nordhavn Europe has on display. The words “now this is a proper ship” have been heard dozens of times in many accents as the show attendees view the beautiful N47 for the first time.
If you missed any of these shows, there are still several opportunities left to get a tour on a Nordhavn. Check out the boat show schedule to find the show closest to you, or contact your local sales office.
