Nordhavn’s biggest promotional event of the year, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), wrapped up last Monday and capped off a successful and busy 12 months of yacht exhibitions.
Interest was high in Nordhavn 76 Avedan and Nordhavn 60 Jupiter, which greeted hundreds of guests throughout the 5-day event. The show further solidified the expected sale of Avedan, which received an offer just days before moving in to the docks at Bahia Mar. The prospective buyers visited the boat in Fort Lauderdale and scheduled the seatrial and survey for next week.
They also got the chance to mingle with other Nordhavn owners at the annual Nordhavn Owners gathering that happens each year at FLIBS. About 70 guests – made up of owners, journalists, vendors, factory and Nordhavn staff – reveled at the event. There were more new buyers attending the party this year than ever before. “It’s a great way for these new owners to immerse themselves in the Nordhavn culture, even though some of them won’t receive their boats for more than a year,” said Nordhavn salesman, Paul Hutton, who represents the Avedan buyers.
FLIBS closes out the 2016 boat show year, but there won’t be much time before the new season gets started: 2017 kicks off with the Seattle Boat Show January 27-February 4 and will feature the brand new Nordhavn 59 Coastal Pilot. For more information visit our calendar page.
