It was truly an impressive – and busy – boat show for Nordhavn at Fort Lauderdale last week. With the debut of the Nordhavn 60 bolstered by unique showings of the Expedition Yachtfisher and Motorsailer, the boating community was out in full force to take advantage of the opportunity to see the brand new models. Even the press was impressed. Remarked one editor from Soundingsmagazine, “Why is it that Nordhavn always seems to have the most crowded display on the dock?”

On Friday night, the display closed early for an exclusive party honoring our Nordhavn owners. About 75 guests showed for a little vino and a whole bunch of revelry. At one point, one of the display floats began to buckle under the weight of the bunch (as evidenced in the photos), several of whom had traveled great distances – New Zealand and Europe – to attend the event. Thankfully all it took was a little transfer of bodies to the starboard float. The rest of the evening was smooth sailing!
