Project Manager Trever Smith is currently at the South Coast Yard inspecting the latest construction projects and took a quick video of the new N46 MK II on his phone. The new model continues to make a huge impression on the PAE design and engineering team, and that includes Nordhavn president Dan Streech who just returned from the factory and was wowed by the new design. “I can’t say enough about that boat,” Streech said. “It is the future.” It is distinctly Nordhavn with a modern spin featuring a plumb bow and exquisite South Coast craftsmanship. Streech also marveled at the nearly full-height stand-up engine room and the luxe feel of the interior. “The DNA of the N60 and N96 are reflected in the 46s beautiful handiwork.”

Due to the efficient nature of the design’s production process, Streech estimates that the factory will be able to produce nine or ten boats a year, which decreasing lead times and maximizing value.
