Barely a few days old and Mad Fish Hunt mania is already taking hold. Just as we had hoped, Nordhavn nation – not to mention the marine press – has embraced the competition and is providing us with lots of input on how to better the contest. We’re heeding their calls and are adding two new categories plus one new rule condition.

NEW CATEGORIES:
Largest salmon
Largest halibut

NEW CONDITION:
All fish not to be eaten should be released alive. Measurements should be made to the fisherman’s best ability.

Thanks to the Voyage of Egret, the new condition was meant to ensure nature preservation — not to mention good sportsmanship. Thought-provoking conversation ensued via a forum question from a VoE fan and the result was the suggestion of this condition which everyone agrees is an appropriate requirement.

We encourage more discussion like this and hope to receive more great input from all Nordhavn fans out there. All ideas are welcomed (although all may not necessarily be embraced).
