Nordhavn enjoyed one of its best boat shows in years with a gorgeous Nordhavn 64 on display at the Yacht and Brokerage Show in Miami last week. Hundreds of interested yacht buyers visited Sweet Hope, a pristine N64 delivered in 2010, which was part of the inaugural TrawlerPort section at this year’s Yacht and Brokerage Show. Throughout the five-day event, a steady stream of people eagerly climbed aboard the 64 and examined up close the type of craftsmanship that makes Nordhavn the number one long range cruising brand in the world.
“We’re thrilled with the amount and the level of interest we saw at the show,” said Andy Hegley, Nordhavn Southeast sales manager. “We haven’t experienced crowds like this since pre-downturn years. And we were pleased to be able to present to interested buyers a boat like Sweet Hope, which really embodies the quality of fitand finish Nordhavns comprise.”
Visitors to the exhibit also got the chance to learn about the brand new Nordhavn 52 Coastal Pilot, announced just prior to the Miami Show. The huge buzz surrounding the new semi-displacement model was impressive, and before the end of the show, Nordhavn had secured the new design’s first commitment.
Of course, no Miami Show is complete without the annual Nordhavn Owners gathering, and Friday’s party didn’t disappoint. Approximately 50 guests attended the informal get-together which included several participants of the 2007 MedBound rally. The group had rendezvoused the previous evening to celebrate the 5-year anniversary of their cruising convoy.
Anyone unable to make the Miami Show this year can look forward to next month’s Palm Beach Boat Show where Nordhavn plans on having another terrific display. Details on exhibit boats are still being finalized. Stay tuned to nordhavn.com for up-to-date information. (Remember, the boat line-up can change at the last minute, so check back often.) As always, you can make an appointment to see a variety of models at any of our sales offices. And if we don’t have the specific model you’re looking for on our own docks, a Nordhavn sales professional can usually arrange a private showing on the Nordhavn you most want to see.
