The first of the brand new 40s splashed in the waters of the Pacific Northwest recently, and now the first four hulls of the mark II version can be seen in each of the corners of the U.S. Nordhavn 40#49 was delivered to her proud new owners, Dr. Josh and Natasha Tofield of Tucson, Arizona. This Nordhavn 40/II, christened Samba, was the first to be completed solely in the Pacific Northwest. Having offloaded in Canada, the boat was then delivered down to Seattle and watched over by the staff at PAE’s newest sales location.
“Everything went really smooth and the Tofields are very happy,” said their salesman James Leishman. James works out of the southwest sales office in Dana Point, CA, but made the trip up to Seattle several times to oversee the boat’s progress.

Like many other Nordhavn owners, Josh Tofield has cruised extensively under sail – including an extensive South Pacific voyage. With retirement on the horizon the Tofields will have the time to cruise the world in their new Nordhavn.
The couple has already completed their first cruise to the Canadian Gulf Islands and look forward to a Southeast Alaska trip next summer.
It’s now easier than ever to see a new 40/II. Please contact your local sales office for more information.
