Nine Nordhavns are currently gathered in the Canadian Maritimes, part of what has become an annual summer pilgrimage for Nordhavn owners on the east coast. Last night, those taking part in this year’s rendezvous – consisting of Nordhavns and non-Nordhavns alike – got together for a Happy Hour Raft Up in Bras d’Or Lake, Nova Scotia. The Canadian Maritimes is a favorite hot-weather destination for those cruising in the northeast, only made more enticing by the lure of hanging with fellow cruisers. The loose formation of the group cruise is another draw: boaters are free to come and go as they please. Since there are no scheduled activities, there is no organizing or headcounts that need doing. Impromptu is the name of the game, such as the dinghy raft-up shown here Andrea and Bill Kirsh on board N4061 MARIA ELENA.
