Pacific Asian Enterprises, Inc. (PAE) is pleased to announce Nordhavn 100 Serenity has been named a finalist in the International Superyacht Society (ISS) Design Awards in the 24-40 m Powerboat category.
The nomination is an especially gratifying one given Serenity was born out of Naval Architect Jeff Leishman’s ability to precisely interpret the owner’s vision. Prior to Serenity, a 100-foot Nordhavn yachtfisher did not exist, but Leishman was able to craft a new Nordhavn that met the owner’s wishlist, in part, by combining different aspects of other models in the line. The result is the perfect fishing-focused family cruise ship. Most notable is the yacht’s proper fishing cockpit and huge outdoor California deck for entertaining.
Serenity’s distinctiveness can also be attributed to the elegant interior created by designer Destry Darr. Taking a cue from the owners’ tastes and styling found in their California home, Darr fashioned a comfortable, serene yet elevated look for Serenity that exceeded the specific needs of the owner and his family.
Serenity goes up against twelve other yachts in her category. Winners will be announced at the annual ISS Design and Leadership Awards gala on October 30th in Fort Lauderdale.
