Early this morning, the Nordhavn 40 Embracing Life arrived in Horta, Faial, The Azores after a gritty 2 week voyage from Bermuda, most of it done without any stabilization. The boat was due to continue on to Lisbon, Portugal and then double back across the Atlantic to the U.S. but instead will detour to Palma Mallorca. Philippe Gugilelmetti, who suffered a stroke 6 years ago and was left disabled, made it his mission to cross the Atlantic Ocean in his own boat. He departed Miami on May 28.
