Nordhavn 41#10 arrived in rainy East Greenwich, RI, yesterday, capping off an 8-day delivery trip that began in Annapolis. The boat, which serves as PAE’s demonstrator boat, will spend the next two months making the east coast boat show circuit run and kicking things off at the Newport International Boat Show next Thursday-Sunday (September 15-18). The delivery crew of PAE staffers Justin Zumwalt, Drew Leishman and Bret Leishman made the 8-day trek from Annapolis and talked about the amazing conditions they encountered. A blazing current had them hitting nearly 13 knots off of Cape May while flat-calm waters allowed for two straight days of stabilizer-free cruising. “You couldn’t have asked for a better trip,” said Drew Leishman, the N41 project manager. The boat, amusingly called Alaskan Escort (amusing because the boat has never left the east coast. The boat name was based on the original itinerary which had it shipping to British Columbia and summering in Alaska.), will continue its southward journey in October, exhibiting at the Annapolis and Fort Lauderdale boat shows.

I’ve been watching the development of your motor yachts for some time. The one thing I think is missing in your line up is an electric version. The N 41 is perfect for this as the horse power to solar power is just right. The surface area of the roof should be just enuff to complete this task. I’m not a person that can afford a nordhavn but I am one that can give solutions to solar development. Torqeedo offers turn key options for this and they do have a option for the N 41. I don’t work for torqeedo in any way shape or form. I am smart enuff to under stand that more sales for an already great brand can only be a good thing. You really can bring the nordhavn brand to a new demographic of people. An you can help save the planet at the same time.
