The chilly winter drizzle has not dampened spirits in London as crowds flocked the opening day of the London Boat Show being held at the ExCel Centre through January 16. European Sales Director, Neil Russell, along with PAE President Dan Streech are manning Nordhavn’s in-water exhibit: the 57-foot Atlantic Escort that made her name last summer as she lead the fleet of 18 boats across the Atlantic in the Nordhavn Atlantic Rally. As with most Nordhavns displayed at boat shows throughout the year, Atlantic Escort is being lent to us by the kind owner who purchased her upon seeing her at last fall’s Southampton Boat Show. This will be the last demonstration for the venerable boat before she heads out on the first leg of her planned cruising itinerary.

England has proven to be a boon with attendees once again ecstatic at the sight of this rare “real ship”. Thanks to the NAR and numerous stories on our boats, such as the cover story in December’s Motorboat and Yachting, Europe is now acutely aware of Nordhavn. And with recent steady sales, the area will be introduced to many more models which will undergo final commissioning and be available for tours at Nordhavn’s European office in Hamble Point, UK.
