Dana Point, CA – (August 16, 2005) – With successful sales operations already in southern California, Rhode Island and Florida, Pacific Asian Enterprises, Inc. (P.A.E.) is pleased to announce the opening of its fourth US office in Seattle, Washington. The Northwest office completes the company’s goal to have sales and service locations running in each of the four corners of the United States. A fifth sales office was opened last year in England.

Heading up Nordhavn Yachts Northwest is Don Kohlmann, who spent nearly 15 years at sailboat manufacturer Pacific Seacraft where he served as general manager. A lifelong boater raised in Northern California, Kohlmann worked closely with the folks at Nordhavn when Pacific Seacraft was tapped to build the Nordhavn 40 project.

“We’re very excited to have Don on our team,” said PAE vice president Jim Leishman. “He brings with him a level of boating expertise as well as an intimate familiarity of the Nordhavn product.”

The Pacific Northwest has long been a center of Nordhavn activity, and P.A.E. hopes to provide a much more effective presence for the sale and support of Nordhavns there. The office is located on Seattle’s Lake Union, a well-known boating community rich in marinas and marine outfitters.

Each of the sales offices is wholly owned and operated by Nordhavn, which means that clients work directly with the design team at P.A.E. when customizing their boats.

“I’m lucky to have worked in this industry for the time that I have,” said Kohlmann. “And now to be working with P.A.E. is extraordinary. I am thrilled to be the Nordhavn representative here in the Northwest.”

Nordhavn Yachts Northwest is slated to open its doors September 1, and will make its debut at the Lake Union Boats Afloat show September 14.
