It’s Nordhavn Film Festival weekend at PAE headquarters and it kicked off Friday night with a street taco party in honor of the several boats that are part of two Mexico-bound convoys. The participants of the aptly dubbed “Taco Run” as well as members of “CUBAR” set Dana Point, CA as a waypoint, coincidentally coinciding with the NFF. The street taco party turned into opening festivities for not only the Mexico groups but all the Nordhavn owners who were in town to attend Saturday’s film premiere gala. In addition to enjoying each other’s company, the gathering was punctuated with a ceremony for those owners who have earned milestone mileage pennants as part of the Nordhavn Pennant Program. Pennant earners celebrated are:
Kevin and Alison Jeffries – N55 Red Rover (10,000 nm)
Scott Allen and Abby Nicholson – N47 Epoch (5,000 nm)
Dougal and Jennifer Gardyne – N56 Ata Marie (10,000 nm)
Hugo and Michelle Cookson – N55 Gitana (5,000)
Larry and Gwen O’Keefe – N50 Miss Miranda
New Nordhavn burgees were awarded to brand new Nordhavn owners Greg and Madelyn Conser on N475 Nomad as well as Linda and Vincent Cummings, owners of N60 Last Arrow.
The evening was the perfect way to kick off an epic weekend for Nordhavn with most in attendance buzzing about the NFF. Taco Friday started wrapping up as the sun went down, steered by thoughts of resting up for the enormity of what’s to come Saturday night.
