The 56th annual Fort Lauderdale Boat Show was a rousing success for Nordhavn, highlighted by three outstanding brokerage show boats that received massive interest – including possible deals on Nordhavn 86 VivieRae and Nordhavn 76 Avedan expected soon – and capped off by the biggest owners party Nordhavn has ever hosted at the show.
Hundreds of people visited Nordhavn’s three-boat display which consisted of the twin-engine Nordhavn 55 A440 and her bigger sisters, all beautiful pre-owned vessels that exquisitely feature the quality and craftsmanship only Nordhavn can provide. Brokers from six of our seven world-wide offices were on hand to assist guests, many of whose top priority at the show was to get on board a Nordhavn.
There was a great deal of interest in the company’s forthcoming two brand new models coming off production: the Nordhavn 96 and the Nordhavn 59 Coastal Pilot. The owners of both Avedan and VivieRae are moving up to N96s with the first hull shipping to Florida early next year. Meanwhile, the N59 CP, which has been generating buzz since it was initially announced last year hit full throttle at the show. “While most of our established fleet generated great enthusiasm, the yet to be launched Nordhavn Coastal Pilot 59 drew many new prospects to our display,” said Jim Leishman, Vice President of Pacific Asian Enterprises, Inc. (PAE). “Hull #1 will complete and seatrial before year’s end and is anxiously awaited by dozens of Nordhavn enthusiasts looking for a more capable coastal cruiser with the right stuff that Nordhavns are so well known for.”
By the second day of the show, the Nordhavn display was rocking with more than 100 owners, vendors, staff and special guests at the annual Fort Lauderdale Show owners party. Newly anointed owners mingled alongside long-timers enjoying the fare and camaraderie, and didn’t let the only downpour during the five-day event dampen spirits.
If last week’s show is any indication, the boating climate is on the upswing with buyers seizing the opportunity to live their dreams now and sellers enjoying the ever-decreasing brokerage inventory.
