Nordhavn’s Southeast sales office and East Coast Commissioning facility in Stuart, FL is confidently validating itself as the premier location for Nordhavn sales and service in the region. On the heels of an impressively organized three-boat displayat last month’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the Stuart office is abuzz with the commissioning of two brand new Nordhavn 68s – one an aft pilothouse, one a forward pilothouse – recently offloaded in Miami and brought up the coast to be appointed and outfitted for their new owners by the Nordhavn team led by Commissioning Manager John Hoffman.
At the same time work on the two 68s – and other Nordhavns – commences, the southeast crew is also overseeing a dock expansion happening at our commissioning center; existing docks are being added to effectively doubling the useable available dock space and prepping the location to take on more new boat fitting-out work as well as maximizing its service capabilities for travelling Nordhavns. An upswing in both new and used orders of late, plus the increased Nordhavn traffic coming through Stuart, makes this the ideal time to be ramping up the southeast facility.
The expansion coincides with the construction and enhancement of Nordhavn’s worldwide headquarters in Dana Point, CA. Production is nearing the final phase as work is expected to finish in December. Staffs currently housed in three separate locations – administration, sales, and parts/service – will all move into the newly refurbished building located in Dana Point Harbor during the week between Christmas and New Year’s (traditionally the slowest period of the year at PAE) in an effort to minimize disruption to customer service and general business operations.
“Both of these development projects serve as reminders of Nordhavn’s confidence in the great things we are expecting for years to come,” said President Dan Streech.
