Nordhavn 52 Kodiak Adventures
Join us aboard SAMBA in Kodiak, Alaska for a week of adventure navigating the beautiful waters of the Kodiak Archipelago. We offer an intensive learning experience covering all Nordhavn systems, boat handling and maintenance. With this knowledge you will understand what it means to own and cruise in one of these fine, seaworthy vessels. And what better place to learn than the incomparable environment of Kodiak and the Alaska Peninsula combining spectacular scenery and wildlife viewing with your cruising experience.
We, Josh and Natasha Tofield ,have traveled over 26,000 nm in our Nordhavns, first 4049 and now 5266. We’ve dropped the hook in 450 different anchorages from Seattle to beyond Dutch Harbor and are excited to share with you our love of Nordhavn and Alaska. Captain Josh is a USCG 100 ton Master with over 50,000 miles at sea in sail and power and is well equipped to guide you through the systems aboard, and to help you understand how to outfit a vessel for cruising.
SAMBA, Nordhavn 52 hull 66, was commissioned in 2012 and is completely equipped for safe and comfortable travel in Alaska. Hydraulic stabilizers, kayaks, diesel heating, electronic navigation systems combined with your spacious cabin and delicious cuisine will make your time with us a memorable adventure.
We tailor the cruise to your preferences. Photography? Navigation instruction? Fishing opportunity? Or more time just hanging out?
Our season runs Mid–May to early September.
