The 6th annual Nordhavn Yachts Northeast Open House last week was a great success led by a terrific line-up of yachts and an impressive turnout of Nordhavn prospects. The weather gods smiled down upon us last Friday, July 15th, as we managed to somehow designate the seemingly one humidity-free, sub-90s degree day in the month of July in New England for which to invite Nordhavn clients to inspect our Nordhavn 43, 47, 55 and 64. PAE staff, including company president Dan Streech, and Nordhavn owners alike, assisted attendees as they walked through the boats lined up at the docks situated in front of our Northeast office in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, and picked up information and some nifty giveaways thanks to sponsor Pantaenius Insurance.
Guests were also treated to a replica Nordhavn 75 Expedition Yacht Fisher put together by Fred Heim, a pro model builder and fan of Nordhavns. Although we decided not to launch the boat, the scaled down remote-control EYF powers beautifully through the water (just like the real thing!) and comes complete with actual working thrusters and stabilizers.
Dan Streech was encouraged by the day’s turnout. “It’s gratifying to see so many qualified people come out to an event like this,” said Dan Streech. “It appears buyers have recognized that this is truly a great time to buy.”
If you missed the Nordhavn Northeast Open House, the fall Boat Shows are just around the corner. Keep posted to the Calendar of Events for the latest updates on which events Nordhavn will be attending.
