(Portsmouth, R.I.; March 21, 2002) — Pacific Asian Enterprises (P.A.E.), the venerable West Coast-based company responsible for the Nordhavn line of offshore trawlers, has expanded to the East Coast. This newly opened office in Portsmouth, Rhode Island will provide East Coast yachtsmen with the same level of sales support and customer service provided by P.A.E.’s Dana Point, California sales office.

The New England sales office is located on the site of the well-known New England Boatworks shipyard and marina in Portsmouth. This facility affords P.A.E. the opportunity to commission new Nordhavns at the yard as well as provide service for Nordhavn owners on the East Coast.

P.A.E. sells direct and is committed to working closely with its customers in individualizing each yacht to their specific needs. The new office further strengthens this commitment.

The office staff will include P.A.E.’s marketing manager, Jennifer McCauley Stern. Jennifer headed East after working in the Dana Point office for the last four years. Her knowledge of Nordhavn will compliment newly hired sales representative Gary Armellino. Gary was previously with Bay Yacht Sales in Long Island, where he sold a variety of power and sailboats. Like all the staff of P.A.E., Gary is an experienced and passionate yachtsman.

The East Coast trawler customer will benefit from being able to view a variety of Nordhavn models at the marina. There are plans to add another sales representative by the end of the year to keep up with the demand for Nordhavns. The all-new Nordhavn 47 is selling very well, even before hull number 1 has been delivered; and the Nordhavn 35 Coastal Pilot has been P.A.E.’s successful entry into the semi-displacement, fast trawler market.
