Pacific Asian Enterprises, Inc. (PAE) caps off a successful year with a huge shipment of Nordhavns which will be delivered to customers all over the U.S. in the early part of 2015. A container ship departed the South Coast factory in Xiamen, China, with Nordhavn 4069, Nordhavn 5271 and Nordhavn 6306 aboard; a few days later it loaded Nordhavn 6829 from the Ta Shing Yacht Yard in Taiwan.

“It’s nice to be able to close out the year with a big shipment like this,” said PAE Vice President Jim Leishman. “It’s a symbolic representation of the good year we’ve had with new boat sales.”

The ship is scheduled to arrive in San Diego in the coming weeks where it will offload 5271 and 6306. The two yachts will be received and delivered up to our Dana Point headquarters by two crews consisting of project managers and PAE commissioning techs. The boats will then spend several weeks undergoing commissioning before being handed over to their new owners.

Nordhavn 6829 will continue on to Port Everglades and will undergo commissioning at PAE’s new East Coast commissioning facility in North Palm Beach, FL. Meanwhile, 4069 will arrive in Baltimore in early February and be brought up for commissioning to PAE’s Northeast office in Portsmouth, RI.
