With nearly 6,000 nautical miles, 146 days, three countries and one Bering Sea behind them, the three Great Siberian Sushi Run boats have concluded their voyage triumphantly, having arrived to their final destination of Osaka, Japan early this morning. What an exhausting and exhilirating thrill it is for these crews and all who have watched them on their dynamic undertaking. We at Nordhavn are, of course, so proud of them, proud of our boats, and will add this to the long list of achievements made by our owners. The thrilling play-by-play has been detailed on each of the participants’ blogs (which you really need to check out if you haven’t yet!) In Sans Souci’s blog, owner Ken Williams sums up today’s entry rather aptly: “Our final distance traveled was 5,938 nautical miles…We are very happy to be here. I have a lot of people to thank, including all of you who have vicariously been along for the ride, and some fun stories to tell about our final trip. But, all of that will have to wait until my next blog. For now, I just want to go celebrate our arrival.”
Cheers, indeed!!
