Nordhavn’s East Coast commissioning team arrived to the Stuart, FL service facility at 5:30 this morning on board the brand new Nordhavn 63. Issues with securing shipping and then subsequent bad weather delayed the arrival of the 63, which has been one of Nordhavn’s most highly anticipated designs. John Hoffman, Commissioning Manager, who drove the boat on the 10-hour trip from Port Everglades to Stuart, commented on how great the ride was and how huge the boat seemed. “There’s a lot of bow in front of you,” said John. “She feels like a lot bigger boat than she is.”
Although unfinished inside, the elegance of the interior still shows through. The hardwoods, granite and glass really gleam, said John. “It’s obvious how much care the yard took in making sure everything was shining. Even the bilges shine!”
The 63 will remain at the Stuart facility for the next 2 ½ to 3 months to undergo commissioning. Inspections of the boat are available during that time by appointment only. To inquire about an appointment to see Nordhavn’s latest model, please contact your local salesman or info@nordhavn.com.
