Paul McCartney would love this one. Three Nordhavn 64s, quite by circumstance, converged in Fiji, all in the same marina. They were placed side by side by the dockmaster and made for quite a spectacular little rendezvous. When I first heard about the gathering from N6402 B2’s captain Sascha Krien, it instantly conjured up in my head that little Beatles ditty, lyrics by Sir Paul:
“Send me a postcard, drop me a line,
Stating point of view.
Indicate precisely what you mean to say
Yours sincerely, Wasting Away.”
I wouldn’t exactly call it wasting away, but B2, Mysterry Ship and Oso Blanco sure do look to be the picture of contentment.
Having been married in Fiji I can attest to the island’s magnetism and appeal of the locale, so a hearty “BULA” to all three crews and sending best wishes to enjoy paradise!
I’ll be back before I’m 64, but please send a post card!
BREAKING NEWS…As I was about to file this story, 76 Ammonite’s owner, Marcus Blackmore, happened to e-mail me a shot of his berth in Fiji – right next to 3 Nordhavn 64s. Hmm…may have to amend those lyrics!
