John has crewed on, lived on, worked on, and raced boats most of his life. Growing up in the North Island of New Zealand, John spent his summers cruising the coast with his family on many types of boats from keel boats to traditional launches. His extensive sail-making and marine industry qualifications led to involvement in both Volvo Ocean Racing and Kiwi America’s Cup shore teams, along with the setup and operation of numerous private vessels. Since then, John has put his impressive marine industry experience to good use in keelboat racing in Japan, the dynamic and iconic 18′ skiff scene in Sydney, and in the busy power and sailing charter fleets of the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland, Australia. Now an important member of the Nordhavn team based in Brisbane, John uses his acknowledged boating credentials along with his direct, yet friendly and engaging manner to help both buyers and sellers achieve outcomes best suited to their goals and circumstances.
