Phil began his career in the marine industry in the, then booming, Southern California sailboat industry. After designing and engineering sailboats for several years he moved to spar and rigging design, working on a wide variety of designs including several Americas Cup projects. For fifteen years Phil led the engineering group at Cabo Yachts, a world class sport fishing boat builder. Work with the design engineering team and project managers keeps Phil busy at Nordhavn.  When not ‘messing about in boats’ Phil enjoys surfing and spending time with his wife, son, daughter and dog.
