Born into a boating family, Valerie has been on the water, in one form or another, her entire life. Growing up on power boats from 25’ to 55’ and later falling in love with the art of sail, she has experience in both worlds. In 2003 she left a successful corporate career as a national account executive in the telecom industry, to run off to sea and start a charter company specializing in sailing vacations in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Her experience includes extensive sailing in the Greek Islands, Italy, Turkey and treks along the entire eastern seaboard, from the last lighthouse in Newport to the tip of Florida’s keys, the Bahamas, BVI, the Grenadine Chain, Trinidad and Tobago and more. Her experience as a charter broker and yacht broker has given her the opportunity to sail and work on all types of sailing yachts from 40’ to 140’ as well as motor yachts from 35’ to 120’. Valerie was introduced to PAE and Nordhavn by her father and actually worked as a Captain on the PAE designed Mason 63 hull #3.  Valerie has seen a lot of boats over her 20 years as a professional in the marine industry and knows “what works” from a both a mechanical as well esthetical view point. She is happy to share her passion, knowledge and experience to help you sell or find the perfect boat for you.  Of all her achievements in the marine industry, the one that she’s most proud of, is the number of repeat clients that continue to come back year after year.

Valerie is a graduate of The Ohio State University. She holds a USCG100T Master Merchant Marine Officers License and is also an ASA certified sailing instructor and member of the Miami Yacht Club.  Contact Valerie at valerie.weingrad@nordhavn.com

I contacted PAE and Valerie called us right back and said come to Florida and let’s check out some boats. She arranged for us to get on 4 boats and have to say the old adage of you have seen one Nordhavn you have seen one Nordhavn is correct. Might be same model but every boat is different but at least you get the feeling of the space.

We are a couple years from buying but the trip to Florida was best thing we could have done!
We live in Western Canada but thought the time and cost was worth every penny to get perspective. Also Valerie was awesome in answering all of our questions, as a Captain and life long Sailor she has lots of knowledge to share.
